Are you Ready for the Heart of Winter?
By Allie KemperJanuary 10, 2017
The worst of the winter months are fast approaching, have you seen the upcoming weather forecast? You may have already guessed what I'm going to talk about now which is the importance of winter tires and tire maintenance.
If you're like most people and have switched from your summer tires to your winter tires having your alignment checked (if you haven't already) is an important step in making sure that your vehicle is properly maintained.
The difference between summer and winter tires is winter tires are softer and wear quicker than your average summer tire. Throw in an unaligned winter tire to that equation and the vehicles efficiency will drag and your investment in winter tires will expend prematurely.
Curbs, potholes, and snowbanks are at times impossible to see and hitting them can throw your vehicle out of alignment. It is recommended to have your alignment checked with every tire rotation/switch. This can help prevent not only extra wear and tear on your tires, but also your wallet.
