Baker’s Collision Repair Brings Nationwide Vehicle Donation Program to Mansfield, Ohio
Mansfield, Ohio - October 1, 2008 — Baker’s Collision Repair Specialists, Inc., a member of the National Auto Body Council (NABC), has committed to participate in a nationwide vehicle donation program called Recycled Rides. This program is a community awareness project whereby members of NABC repair and donate recycled vehicles to families in need.
Recycled Rides is scheduled to make simultaneous donations throughout the country the week of Thanksgiving. “Our goal is to help people in our local community,” states DeLee Powell. “We decided to utilize the NABC program because they have a great toolkit which walks us through the entire process. Together we can have an effect right here in our community and across the country.”
DeLee Powell continues: “Each year collision repair operators all over the country come across cars that are ‘written off’ or ‘totaled’ by either the owner or the insurance company. Many times all these vehicles need is mechanical and/or body work to get them road ready and safe to drive. We decided to join in on this national effort and located a nice 2003 Ford Windstar generously donated by State Farm Insurance Company.
Mansfield Rotary Club Foundation and The Salvation Army will be helping Baker's Collision Repair locate a worthy individual. “We are excited about participating in Recycled Rides,” states Skip Holmes of Mansfield Rotary Club Foundation and Harry Frietchen, President of the Mansfield Rotary Club. Captain Marcus Jugenheimer of Salvation Army states “We’ll work diligently to find the perfect match for this donation.”
